Haven‘t joined a Gym yet? Here’s how to get started
Pre-framing, Part 1
Pre-framing, Part 1
Let me guess, you still haven’t joined your local gym. You have been thinking about this for ages but never actually came around to doing it. No need to feel bad about this. It’s only normal, with all the hours you spend at the office. Not to mention family errands and driving the kids back and forth from their activities. You moved to the suburbs to find calmness, and yet the rat race goes on and on.
So many professionals today are in the same situation. Hardly any time to spend relaxing with friends, hardly any time to do something good for themselves. No matter how much money you earn and how good you are at your job, changing your habits, leaving your comfort zone, and joining a gym is no easy task.
You come home tired from work, and all you want to do is enjoy a tasty meal and slump in front of the telly. Talk to your spouse and kids, listen to the news, and go to bed. And there is a valid reason for that. You’ve had a big day, and it’s really hard to start a workout routine if you come home stressed and tired from work. I know. I’ve been there, done that for years. Let me just tell you that this is entirely normal. We are only human! Workdays can be grueling.
And yet, habits can change, and a healthier lifestyle is possible. Yes, it is possible to find the energy to go to the gym after work. Let me explain.
Most high achievers today are stressed and drained out after a day at the office. They keep thinking that they need to get fit for their health, their family, even for their performance at work but never actually get around to joining the gym. Not even the one they pass by on the way home from work. Not even when there is a great discount for new members. If they feel up to it, they might grab a beer with a friend and head home.
They don’t have the energy to hit the gym because they don’t know where to start. They don’t have the courage to enter a building full of exercising equipment and strangers — superfit instructors who might judge them and athletes who might laugh at their physical state. So many machines that they have no idea how to operate. So, they fall back into the same old habits. It’s not easy to break the cycle.
I get it. I’ve been there. The only problem is, you know that exercise is good for you. We know that better fitness levels will improve one’s overall quality of life. I’m sure you want to have more energy to do fun stuff with your family and friends, play more with your kids, enjoy hiking trips in the countryside. So let’s just find a way to do this! Yes, there is a way to do this! Change the pattern and create new healthier habits. Choose a healthier and more fulfilling and rewarding lifestyle.
